Reports To: Senior family support worker
Location: ResiCare Alliance, Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire
Salary: £22,000-£23,500

We are currently looking for a Residential Family Support Worker to join our team. The Residential Family Support
Worker must have flexibility, honesty, good communication skills
and an open team player.

JOB PURPOSE:
Working as part of a team to provide personalised care, assessment and support
that service users are safeguarded.
Identify and deliver activities that meet the needs of service users individually or
in groups so that they reach their full parenting potential where possible.
Work closely with individual service users as their Key Worker by supporting them
to access the community, activities and other services.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

 Work unsociable hours including evenings, weekends, and bank
holidays to ensure that adequate staff cover is always maintained.
 Supporting service users by following care plans and risk assessments
so they and their children’s physical, emotional and mental health
needs are met and they meet their full potential and independence
 Keep full, accurate and up-to-date records including risk assessments,
care and support plans for service users and daily record of events
while on duty.
 Support service users to manage their own emotions and behaviours
and where possible to encourage and help them to do things for
themselves
 Assist service users with advice and support to help them manage their
finances, develop parenting skills etc
 Act as Key Worker using a person-centred approach complete monthly
reviews of risk assessments, care and support plans and contribute to
professional meetings as necessary
 In line with care plans undertake assessment activity and write
professional reports

  •  Build links within the community so service users can access facilities
    and services e.g. social, leisure, employment and education.
     Safeguard service users at all times taking necessary actions
    immediately and reporting any concerns or issues to management.
     Work positively with managers, colleagues and others e.g. social
    workers and health professionals to fully support service users. And
    encouraging feedback so we improve the care and support we give.
     Other duties as may be required to help with the smooth running of the
    establishment and needs of the residents

JOB PURPOSE: 

  • Working as part of a team to provide personalised care, assessment and support by contributing to and following individual care plans and risk assessments so that service users are safeguarded. 
  • Working as part of a dedicated team, your role as a Waking Night Supervisor is to ensure the safety and well-being of each client, responding appropriately to support needs, illness and/or emergencies.

Team Leader

Job Title: Team Leader

RESPONSIBLE TO: Registered Manager

Hours: 40 per week with occasional shift work evenings/weekend/BH working

Provide on-call assistance overnight on a shared basis

Salary:  £35,000 – £39,000

 

JOB PURPOSE: 

  • Deputise for Registered Manager when necessary/required
  • Working as a senior member of the team to provide personalised care, assessment and support by either developing or contributing to and following individual care plans and risk assessments so that service users are safeguarded or supporting team members to do the same. 
  • Identify and deliver activities that meet the needs of service users individually or in groups so that they reach their full parenting potential where possible.  
  • Support, advise and mentor less experienced staff including providing supervision and appraisal as well as identifying training needs of staff members. 
  • Work closely with individual staff to develop their  Key Working knowledge, skills and experience by supporting them to undertake activity and learning to ensure quality service provision based on need. 

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Undertake assessments in partnership with parents and their families, using a multi-agency approach to affect and sustain positive change for all. 
  • Engage with families to support them to meet the needs of their children through group or individual case work.  
  • Build and sustain relationships with children and their families and to ensure their views are taken into account and that practice is child centred. 
  • Build positive working relationships with a variety of individuals (e.g. Parents, their children, colleagues, external agencies and stakeholders) encouraging feedback so we improve the care and support we give.
  • Communicate effectively with service users and other professionals from a wide range of voluntary and statutory agencies.
