I just wanted to say thank you for a warm reception and how inviting the staff were. You were welcoming and supportive to help with settling in Mum and extremely knowledgeable and professional. The home is lovely with superb accommodation and the extensive garden. Thank you for supporting a smooth transition for the family.
You were specifically recommended again today by one of my colleagues in health as somewhere that might be suitable for our lad ‘J’.
Staff are nurturing and supportive of the children and they speak warmly about them. Staff know the children well and provide them with individualised care. Consequently, children are making great progress in a range of areas, including their emotional well-being and health.
Staff help children to understand their needs and identify their goals. Staff support children to work towards their goals at their own pace. This helps children to develop new skills and manage their feelings more positively.
The home is welcoming and provides a cosy family environment for the children. All children have been given the opportunity to personalise their bedrooms. When the inspector viewed the bedrooms, they could see the children’s personalities shining through.
Partner agencies speak positively about the way the manager and staff keep them updated about the progress and experiences of the children.
I am always made very welcome when I visit, kept up to date about my child’s progress and I am so pleased with how they have settled into a lovely nurturing home.
The team are amazing, the home and environment is so child-focused, I am always updated and do not have any complaints.
I was worried about my boy moving in as I didn’t think he would be cared for properly; how wrong I was! He has a lovely bedroom, the meals they have he has chosen, and he helps cook and bake. The staff have helped him so much and we now have a positive relationship, we are working on him coming home.
The staff make us so welcome when we visit, making sure my child is ready for our visits, we are always asked to stay for tea.
I just wanted to email you to express how pleased I am with the care the team is offering. This young person has had such an awful few years in placements that were not able to understand her and meet her needs. Today we had a review meeting and mum was brought to tears at how well she is doing at the home. The senior team makes me feel that she is really welcome and that she is no problem at all – She has not experienced this feeling for many many years. She seems so happy and settled living here, she is able to build a relationship with peers and staff – it’s so nice to see her thriving and I really appreciate the support she is being given.
Just want to thank you for the warm welcome that we received yesterday. I was pleased with all staff and the support around the young person. I was well informed and had a good tour of the home. I can’t thank you enough. Your support yesterday, calming, communicating and reassuring with the young person was wonderful. When I left the home, I felt re-assured that they would settle. I was pleased that the young person was communicating with me positively whilst I was there yesterday, as they would not communicate with me politely when they were in hospital. I shared this with my manager, the team and family how amazing the young person’s room is. Thank you for doing this great job.
