Kris Cooper

Head of Finance

I have over 20 years’ experience as a qualified accountant in senior finance roles across a number of sectors ranging from Motor Racing to Law. For the past 10 years prior to my appointment with Resicare I have been working in interim roles which has further broadened my experiences and ability to deal with change – Several of my most recent roles have been working within the care sector, for which I have gained a real affinity with organisations that ‘give something back’ to society – The ability to be able to assist care organisations is a great privilege in what can be quite a dry profession! In my spare time, I help out with coaching at my local junior football team

Rachel Given

Head of Business Development

I look after all the referrals from Local authorities and offers made to the company, supporting our managers with local authorities for any additional support, as well as building and maintaining positive relationships, checking we are doing a great job as well as look after the contracts, marketing and developing our brand. I also look out for market trends, new opportunities, review the market for competitors. Experience: I have worked in health and social care for 34 years as a Care Worker, Manager, Head of Care, Quality Manager, Foster Carer, Operations Manager, Deputy Director, Commissioning Manager, Consultant, and Head of Business Development. I have always worked in childrens services and been part of senior management teams, part of growth and development strategies and leading on marketing and brand development.

CHRIS BROWN

HEAD OF EDUCATION

As the Head of Quality Assurance and Training at Resicare Alliance, I oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and staff training programmes across all homes under the organisation. My role is to ensure that each home not only complies with OFSTED regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations, but also promotes the highest standards of care and professionalism. I work collectively with home managers and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in service delivery, focusing on staff development, compliance, and enhancing the welfare of the children in our care. Additionally, I spearhead the creation and refinement of training frameworks that equip staff with the skills needed to meet the individual needs of each child while fostering a culture of learning and professional growth. With extensive experience in the care sector, my journey began as a Support Worker, advancing to roles including Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and Home Manager before becoming a Quality Assurance Officer. Now as Head of Quality Assurance and Training, I apply this broad experience to ensure that both quality and training programmes remain at the forefront of regulatory compliance and service excellence.

SHARON

HEAD OF OPERATIONS

I am responsible for leading the day-to-day and strategic operational aspects of business, including the oversight and line management of both Regional and Registered Managers. My role includes working alongside our internal teams to ensure safeguarding and quality is at the forefront. Additionally, I liaise with external multi-disciplinary teams of professionals, ensuring all local protocols and regulatory aspects are adhered too. Currently we have a total of 11 registered homes across both West Midlands and South Midlands Region. Experience includes having over 20 years’ working within residential childrens homes, with 10 years being in a leadership role. This includes being Ofsted registered, previously as a Registered Manager, later a Responsible Individual and a nominated responsible person to act on behalf of the Director in Wales under the CIW framework. My role includes multi-site management within the organisation, supporting the delivery of the strategic growth while keeping a focus on the financial elements that have an impact.

ANTONY BAINBRIDGE

HEAD OF CLINICAL SERVICES & CLINICAL LEAD

I am the Clinical Lead of Resicare Alliance/ICIS Ltd having completed my master’s training in 1995 in research, clinical and forensic practice specialisms and then worked in Health Trusts in the late 1990s before entering private practice in 2001. My work history has included working with child and family services all over the UK and the Channel Islands. I have acted as an expert witness in child and family proceedings and been an overview author in Serious Case Review work in both children and adult services. I have recently undertaken the Bond Solon Cardiff University Expert Witness Certificate in Child and Family Law; the only accredited course of its kind. I deliver extensive training in child welfare and development, safeguarding practice, mental health and learning disabilities. Clinically I work within the fields of trauma, attachment issues, mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, sexually harmful behaviours, etc. Role: Within Resicare Alliance I have been responsible for developing and implementing the clinical model of practice pertaining to the therapeutic model of support, specialising in reunification which takes a combined approach of PACE, DDP, psychosocial intervention methods to promote a child’s development and identity whilst in placement. I work alongside the staff, local authority and family supporting the child, train them in the model and provide supervisory support in the implementation of the model used. When I’m working with the children, Cora my therapy dog assists.
