Clinical Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Services Manager to oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management across our services. This is a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and the development of new services.
Job Summary:
As the Clinical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical governance framework, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading initiatives to improve care practices. You will work closely with clinical teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to promote best practices and support the development of new services, including fostering pathways and clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Framework Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a clinical governance framework in line with organisational standards.
- Ensure policies and procedures are current and followed across all services.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical quality and safety.
2. Quality Assurance & Improvement:
- Lead continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives across clinical services.
- Oversee clinical audits, safety reviews, and incident investigations.
- Implement improvement plans based on audit results and performance data.
3. Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage clinical risks across services.
- Ensure robust systems for reporting and investigating clinical incidents and complaints.
- Develop action plans to mitigate risks and improve safety for the individuals we support.
4. Training & Development:
- Coordinate training programmes on clinical governance and quality for staff.
- Ensure staff are informed about policies, procedures, and governance issues.
- Promote continuous education and reflective practice within the team.
5. Experience & Engagement:
- Lead efforts to improve the experience and satisfaction of individuals accessing our services.
- Collaborate with families and staff to address feedback and implement improvements.
- Analyse satisfaction data to drive improvements in care delivery.
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with clinical teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to uphold high standards of care.
- Participate in clinical risk meetings and contribute to governance discussions.
- Collaborate across departments to align governance efforts with organisational goals.
7. Data Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the collection and analysis of clinical performance data.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership.
- Use data to drive clinical improvements and inform decision-making.
8. Project Management:
- Lead the implementation of a reunification fostering pathway.
- Participate in the development and launch of new clinical services.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- Significant experience in clinical governance, quality assurance, or risk management.
- Strong understanding of regulations for both children and adult services.
- Proven track record of leading initiatives and improving clinical outcomes.
Skills:
- Expertise in clinical governance, risk management, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate it into actionable improvements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in clinical audit, risk assessment, and reporting software.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, with regular interaction with clinical staff, residential teams, and senior leadership. You will play a key role in setting up new services within the organisation, including fostering and clinical services.
