Location: Northamptonshire (covering multiple homes)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: up to £49k with £3,500 car allowance

As we continue to grow across Northamptonshire, we are seeking an experienced Peripatetic Manager to provide operational support and leadership across our children’s homes.

Role Overview:
The Peripatetic Manager will support services in times of change, absence, or need for additional leadership. This role is vital in maintaining stability, consistency, and quality across multiple homes. You will work closely with Registered Managers and senior leaders to uphold high standards and regulatory compliance while promoting a positive, child-centred culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership cover and operational oversight in the absence of home managers
  • Support new service openings and lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure continued compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Mentor and support management and care teams to drive performance
  • Work flexibly across services in Northamptonshire, often at short notice

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years’ management experience in children’s residential care
  • Strong working knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted framework
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the region
