Position Overview
As a Residential Support Worker at Aston, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for children and young people with learning disabilities. You will work closely with our residents to provide care, support, and encouragement in a warm and welcoming home environment.
Providing Personalized Care: Offering individualised care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Promoting Independence: Encouraging and facilitating the development of life skills and independence among residents.
Creating a Safe Environment: Maintaining a safe and clean-living environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
Implementing Care Plans: Collaborating with the care team to implement and monitor individual care plans.
Supporting Educational Goals: Assisting young people in accessing educational opportunities and supporting their learning and development.
Building Positive Relationships: Establishing and maintaining positive and respectful relationships with children, their families, and external professionals.
Documentation: Keeping accurate records and recording any incidents, following company policies.
Crisis Intervention: Responding to crisis situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
